All Things Considered (Minnesota Public Radio News)

In the summer of 2011, I interned as a producer with local broadcasts of All Things Considered at Minnesota Public Radio News. I was in charge of producing a weekly segment featuring distinctive festivals from around Minnesota. Below is one particularly memorable episode about a pig race held in Nevis, Minn.

I assisted other MPR producers with daily show production by booking guests, representing the show in newsroom meetings and editing interviews for broadcast.

I also took initiative to visualize data using Google Spreadsheets showing how Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton and GOP Legislative Leaders came together on budget agreements. I engineered these graphics so they could be easily updated with new figures if the bills had evolved. Click here to see the graphics live on MPR’s website.
