The Maneater

I started writing immediately for The Maneater Student Newspaper my freshmen year at the University of Missouri. My reporting found though MU had touted its incoming freshmen classes the most diverse ever, retention rates among minority students continued to lag.

In my first year of study I wrote more than 40 articles as well and worked with members of the online office to create my own biweekly podcast.

This work has led me to report on a mishmash of people ranging from Lee Ann Phelps, a member of Westboro Baptist Church since 1983, to Deputy Director of NORML Paul Armentano.

Huffington Post’s College Section has also linked to my work.
